Fes World Sacred Music Festival

This festival was amazing in 2016 as always so add to your list for the coming year.

A must for 2017, a great experience. Dates to follow for 2017.

Fes_1664898cThis is the 24th edition of the Fes world festival of sacred music with artists from Morocco, Africa and around the globe appearing at many venues in the Imperial cultural and artisan capitol of Morocco which was the home of the great scholar Maimonides among others. There will be much to see and do on this trip with a multitude of exhibitions and workshops being held and many concerts in the evenings.

Fes Imperial City; cultural and artisan capitol of Morocco. Fes is home to oldest Medina in the world and many architectural delights such as the oldest university in the world founded by a woman, places of learning where Maimonides and other great scholars once taught also the famous potteries where beautiful hand made ceramics are created for export throughout the world. A feast for the senses.

Asillah; Asillah is a pretty small town on the beautiful Atlantic coast of Morocco. Each year it hosts an international Arts festival with artists from around the globe participating. The residents paint their walls white in preparation for artists to paint stunning murals around the town.
