Roadside shopping through Morocco

Shopping in Morocco – Roadside Vendors. There is always something for sale by the side of the road as you travel through Morocco. Depending on the region and season it may be Figs,Apricots, Pomegranate, dates, prickly pear fruit from the cactus seen marking boundaries, olive oil and honey in re-cycled plastic containers as well as local pottery stacked high , all seemingly unattended but if you stop someone will materialise fairly quickly to help you. Desert Odyssey Tour

Another fantastic tour through the best of Morocco to the desert. Our journey through Morocco to the Sahara desert starts in the stunning Rif mountains and takes us through some of the most diverse terrain in Africa . An odyssey indeed. It is always like leaving home when we depart from the pretty blue town of Chefchaouen but the weather favours us with blue skies for our journey through the pine clad peaks and cork oak forests to the Imperial city of Fes where as usual a wonderful welcome awaits us at our Riad. Guided tour of Chefchaouen We disembark from the ferry at the Spanish protectorate of Ceuta, wine supply clinking in the overhead box. The Moroccan customs point is chaotic as usual but once through customs there is a pleasant stretch of coastline before the road begins to climb steadily through the cork oak and pine clad hillsides of the Rif Mountains. Our destination is Chefchaouen, one of the prettiest small towns in Morocco also nick named the blue town, the reason for which becomes clear when you visit the delightful Medina with its...

A tour of the High Atlas Mountains

Tour the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco We provide safe guided tours, like our Tour of the High Atlas Mountain range. Find out what we would typically see on such a tour. The further south we travel the scenery changes dramatically as we climb slowly into the High Atlas Mountains. Here and there we are afforded the odd glimpse of Nomadic Tribes gathered with their camels around scattered black tents. They are seeking high pasture for their animals and with true Tuareg hospitality they wave and beckon us to join them for a glass of mint tea...
